Chlorosulfonated polyethylene CSM is valued for its resistance to chemicals, oil, abrasion, weather and temperature extremes and ultraviolet light. The materials is made by reacting polyethylene with chlorine and sulfur dioxide to yield chlorosul-fonated polyethylene.
