Four production processes of CPE and their advantages and disadvantages
CPE, namely chlorinated polyethylene, is a special kind of rubber with high performance and high quality. At present, there are four kinds of CPE production processes: aqueous suspension process, acid suspension process, solid phase process and solution process.
The advantages of aqueous suspension are that the product quality is relatively stable and the consumption of raw materials and utilities is relatively low. But using this method needs to face the problem of how to deal with large quantities of low concentration hydrochloric acid.
The acid suspension method also has the advantages of stable product quality. In addition, the production process of CPE by this method is simple and the discharge of three wastes is less. But the investment required is high.
The production of CPE by solid-phase method is energy-saving, simple in process and convenient in post-treatment. But this kind of industrial technology isn't quite ready yet.
Solution method is no longer recommended, because its process plant, the three waste produced is difficult to deal with, production costs are relatively high.
